13 Sep 2008 - CHARITY MUSIC EVENT 
OCTOBER 18TH & 19TH
2 day charity music event with Gary Nicholson from Q Music www.qmusic.co.uk on Sat / Sun the 18th / 19th October 08 The Oct.2008 event will feature more than 20 bands and musicians at Gosforth civic hall. Newcastle. trade stands from sound and lighting manufacturers, guitar, drum and cymbal companies. also guitar and drum clinics throughout the event, and equipment demonstrations all day, plus a guitar competition with prizes. Some of companies attending the event are, Numark, Alesis. Akai, HK Audio, - sound equipment, mixers etc, John Hornby Skewes, Vintage Guitars, Indie Guitars, Washburn Guitars, Prolight, - lighting, effects, controllers etc, Proel Int, - including Alto, JTS, and Tamburo Drums, Wharfedale, Shure mics, Sound technology, The event will be one of the biggest this year and will give loads of local bands, singers, and musicians a chance to play on a big stage with a professional sound and lighting rig. The earlier slots will feature younger bands to give them some experience of a big venue, and the afternoon and evening slots will feature the more experienced pub / club bands. The demos and clinics will run from 10am to 2pm on both days and the bands will follow all day until 12pm. over 20 bands / musicians ready to play, including Russ Tippens, Sabbatica, Sticky Fingers, Toxic Pixies, Hocus Pocus, Tumblin Dice, The Poor Boys, FM, Mojo Hand, Freddie Purvis, Gary Grainger, The Last Souls, Simon from Roadstunner, Bon Viveres, Wind of change, Apex, Stoneleaf, Customs, Jumpstart, This Machine and Twister, plus more guests dropping in for short slots. Please pass the word to see if anyone else fancies being involved and ask them to Email me at k8skis@supanet.com the event is for charity and the 2 beneficiaries will be, The Critical care unit at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Gateshead (Mono`s charity recently) and The Butterfly Trust, (For Thyroid cancer) Newcastle, the NCR bike ride charity this year.
